Table of Contents
What you will do:
You will lead the implementation of cloud data warehouse projects with our clients
You will cover the following aspects of the data warehouse life cycle:
- Collect business requirements and document them in a spec
- Data exploration of source systems, e.g. using SQL
- Data modeling and dimensional modeling
- Source to target maps
- Work on the design and architecture of the solution with the data architect
- System integration testing
You will lead a small team (1-3) of data engineers
Mentor other team members
What you must know
Very solid data warehouse knowledge required. Skills around cloud data warehousing are optional
Good experience collecting and documenting business requirements
Very good understanding of the data warehouse lifecycle and associated tasks
Good understanding of data warehouse architecture
Good understanding of data modeling and dimensional modeling
Good understanding of relational databases and data warehouse platforms
Good knowledge of advanced SQL (window functions etc.)
Nice to have skills
Experience with Cloud Computing, e.g. AWS or Azure
Experience with a scripting language, e.g. Python
Personal Qualities:
